CAFOD Family Fast Day

CAFOD Harvest Fast Day (Friday 1st October) and Our Parish Schools

St Joseph's Parish and our parish schools, (St. Joseph's Infants, St Joseph's Juniors and St. Benet's, Ouston) are all committed to raising money for CAFOD, for this year's Family Fast Day.

This year's theme is "Go Green and Give".

Our schools are taking part in a lot of activities to raise both money and awareness, such as non-uniform days, letters to world leaders and assemblies highlighting what we can do to make our world better for everyone.

The schools usually give out envelopes for cash donations, but in this increasingly digital and COVID-19 safe world, this year we have also set up a JustGiving page online. Just visit www.justgiving.com/fundraising/stjosephsbirtley and you can donate any amount that you choose to support our cause. For those that do not have the facility to make online donations, we are hoping to be able to have CAFOD envelopes available at the back of church for Harvest Fast Day.
