COP26

COP26 will take place between 31 October and 12 November in Glasgow.

20,000 delegates from around the world will be attending and 100 world leaders including American President Joe Biden. Pope Francis has confirmed he will be attending too.

What is COP26?

COP 26 is The United Nations Climate Change Conference. COP stands for Conference of the Parties (world countries) and the Glasgow conference will be the 26th event. COP26 will be the largest conference evey held in the UK.

What will be discussed at COP26?

COP 26 will discuss tackling the global climate change crisis and progress towards the agreed carbon reduction targets. These targets were agreed in 2015 as part of the Paris Agreement. The Paris agreement aims to have a global carbon neutral economy by 2050.
